We have simplified how our email plans fit together. The prices have not moved. What has changed is how the parts add up when you hold more than one mailbox, or more than one type of mailbox, on the same account.
A Plan Is a Type of Mailbox
Lite, Professional, Business and Enterprise are best read as four kinds of mailbox. Each one carries its own storage, its own hourly sending allowance and its own features, and you pay for it per mailbox, monthly or yearly. A sole trader can run a single Lite mailbox at £1.49 a month. A company can run twenty Business mailboxes. An account can also hold both at once: one Enterprise mailbox with 100 GB for the person who never deletes anything, and Lite mailboxes for everyone else.
Every Mailbox Includes a Domain
Until now the number of domains you could attach depended on which plan you were on. That reads well for a single mailbox and stops making sense the moment you add more. From today every mailbox you buy brings its own domain allowance, whichever plan it is on. Three mailboxes, three domains. If you need more domains than mailboxes, an extra domain is £2 a month, the same price on every plan.
Storage and Sending Scale With You
Storage is per mailbox and there is no shared pool to run out of. A 50 GB Business mailbox is 50 GB, however many of them you have. Sending limits work the same way: each mailbox has its plan's hourly allowance, and a domain can send the total of the mailboxes on it. Aliases are counted per mailbox too, so a Lite mailbox and a Business mailbox on the same domain each get their own allowance.
One Way to Add a Mailbox
We have retired the separate "extra mailbox" add-on. It cost the same as a mailbox and did the same thing, so it only offered a second way to buy one. Adding a mailbox is now the add-on. Extra domains remain available as before.
What This Means for You
If you already have mailboxes with us, nothing changes in your bill and nothing needs doing. Your mailboxes keep their storage, their features and their price. The plan pages and your dashboard now describe allowances in these terms, and the mailbox wizard lets you pick the plan for each new mailbox as you add it.
